And when one of them is informed of [the birth of] a female, his face becomes dark, and he suppresses grief. 16:58

This day [all] good foods have been made lawful, and the food of those who were given the Scripture is lawful for you and your food is lawful for them. And [lawful in marriage are] chaste women from among the believers and chaste women from among those who were given the Scripture before you, when you have given them their due compensation (dowries), desiring chastity, not unlawful sexual intercourse or taking [secret] lovers. And We made the son of Maryam (Jesus) and his mother a sign for mankind, and gave them a shelter on a peaceful lofty ground, furnished with a fresh spring.

Those messengers – some of them We caused to exceed others. Among them were those to whom Allah spoke, and He raised some of them in degree. And We gave Jesus, the Son of Mary, clear proofs, and We supported him with the Pure Spirit. If Allah had willed, those [generations] succeeding them would not have fought each other after the clear proofs had come to them. But they differed, and some of them believed and some of them disbelieved. And if Allah had willed, they would not have fought each other, but Allah does what He intends.

2:136

Say, ˹O believers,˺ “We believe in Allah and what has been revealed to us; and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and his Descendants; and what was given to Moses, Jesus, and other prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them. And to Allah we all submit.”

He will speak to the people in the cradle and in his old age and he will be among the righteous.” 3:46

Hearing this, Maryem said, “O my Lord! How can I have a son when no man has ever touched me?” He replied, “Even so, Allah creates however He wants; whenever He decides to do anything, He only says it to ‘Be’ and it is!. 3:47

Allah will teach your son the Book, the Wisdom, the Taurat (Torah), and the Injeel (Gospel) 3:48

And will make him [‘Iesa (Jesus)] a messenger to the Children of Israel, [who will say], ‘Indeed I have come to you with a sign from your Lord in that I design for you from clay [that which is] like the form of a bird, then I breathe into it and it becomes a bird by permission of Allah . And I cure the blind and the leper, and I give life to the dead – by permission of Allah . And I inform you of what you eat and what you store in your houses. Indeed in that is a sign for you, if you are believers. 3:49

And [I have come] confirming what was before me of the Torah and to make lawful for you some of what was forbidden to you. And I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, so fear Allah and obey me. 3:50

Indeed, Allah is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him. That is the straight path.” 3:51

When Isa (Jesus) found out that they (most of the children of Israel) had no faith, he asked: “Who will help me in the cause of Allah?” The Disciples replied: “We will help you in the cause of Allah. We believe in Allah. Be our witness that we are Muslims.” 3:52

Our Lord, we have believed in what You revealed and have followed the messenger Jesus, so register us among the witnesses [to truth].” 3:53

Such is ‘Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). (it is) a statement of truth, about which they doubt (or dispute). 19:34

It befits not (the Majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son [this refers to the slander of Christians against Allah, by saying that ‘Iesa (Jesus) is the son of Allah]. They will be able to see and hear very clearly on that Day when they will appear before Us! But today these wrongdoers, neither want to hear nor see the Truth and, are in manifest error. 19:38

And warn them, [O Muhammad], of the Day of Regret, when the matter will be concluded; and [yet], they are in [a state of] heedlessness, and they do not believe.  19:39

He [‘Iesa (Jesus)] was not more than a servant. We granted Our Favour to him, and We made him an example to the Children of Israel (i.e. his creation without a father). 43:59

And if it were Our Will, We would have [destroyed you (mankind) all, and] made angels to replace you on the earth.  43:60

61:14

O believers! Be the helpers of Allah, just as Isa (Jesus) the son of Maryam said to his disciples: “Who will be my helper in the cause of Allah?” And the disciples responded: “We will be your helpers in the cause of Allah.” Then a group from the children of Israel believed in him (Isa) and another group disbelieved. We aided the believers against their enemies, so they became victorious.

57:27

After them We sent other Messengers, one after the other, and followed them with Isa (Jesus) the son of Maryam. We gave him The Injeel (Gospel), and put compassion and mercy into the hearts of his followers. As for monasticism, they instituted it themselves – for We did not enjoin it on them – in order to seek the good pleasure of Allah, but they did not observe it as it should have been observed. We aided the believers against their enemies, so they became victorious.

61:6

And remember when Isa (Jesus) the son of Maryam (Mary) said: “O children of Israel! I am the Messenger of Allah towards you, confirming the Torah which came before me, and to give you good news of a Messenger that will come after me whose name shall be Ahmed (another name of Muhammad, meaning ‘The praised one’).” But when he (Muhammad) came to them with clear signs, they said “This is plain magic.”

“Be” and he was. 3:59

The truth is from your Lord, so do not be among the doubters. 3:60

If anyone argues with you concerning this matter (the birth of Jesus) after full knowledge has come to you, say: “Come! Let us gather our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves: then let us earnestly pray and invoke the curse of
Allah on the liars.” 3:61

Verily this is the absolute true explanation. The fact of the matter is, that there is no god but Allah; and for sure Allah is the Mighty, the Wise. 3:62

But if they turn away from accepting this challenge, it will be clear proof of their mischief and Allah has the full knowledge of mischief-makers. 3:63

Chapter:82  Verse: 17 to 19

What will explain to you what the Day of Judgment is?  82:17

Again, what will explain to you what the Day of Judgment is? 82:18

Chapter:100 Verse: 6 to 11

Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful.  100:6
And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 100:7
and surely he is violent in his love of this worldly wealth. 100:8
Is he not aware that when those who lie in the graves will be raised to life, 100:9
And the secrets of the breasts are made known, 100:10

Later on Adam repented and his Lord chose him, accepted his repentance and gave him guidance,  20:122

“So, when I have fashioned him completely and breathed into him (Adam) the soul which I created for him, then fall (you) down prostrating yourselves unto him.” 15:29
So, the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together. 15:30
Except Iblis (Satan), – he refused to be among the prostrators. 15:31
(Allah) said: “O Iblis (Satan)! What is your reason for not being among the prostrators?” 15:32
[Iblis (Satan)] said: “I am not the one to prostrate myself to a human being, whom You created from sounding clay of altered black smooth mud.” 15:33

[ Allah ] said, “What prevented you from prostrating when I commanded you?” [Satan] said, “I am better than him. You created me from fire and created him from clay.”  7:12

[ Allah ] (Allah) said: “(O Iblis) get down from this (Paradise), it is not for you to be arrogant here. Get out, for you are of those humiliated and disgraced.”  7:13

[Satan] said, “Reprieve me until the Day they are resurrected.”  7:14

Allah said: “The respite you requested is hereby granted.”  7:15

[Satan] said, “Since You let me deviate, now I will lie in ambush for mankind on Your Right Way  7:16

Then I will come to them from before them and from behind them and on their right and on their left, and You will not find most of them grateful [to You].”  7:17

(Allah) said (to Iblis) “Get out from this (Paradise) disgraced and expelled. Whoever of them (mankind) will follow you, then surely I will fill Hell with you all.”   7:18

So Shaitan made them fall, through deception. And when they tasted of the tree, their private parts became apparent to them, and they began to fasten together over themselves from the leaves of Paradise. And their Lord called to them, “Did I not forbid you from that tree and tell you that Satan is to you a clear enemy?”  7:22

They said, “Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.”  7:23

(Allah) said: “Get down, one of you an enemy to the other [i.e. Adam, Hawwa (Eve), and Shaitan (Satan), etc.]. On earth will be a dwelling-place for you and an enjoyment, – for a time.”  7:24

[ Allah ] said, “Therein you will live, and therein you will die, and from it you will be brought forth.”  7:25

O children of Adam, We have bestowed upon you clothing to conceal your private parts and as adornment. But the clothing of righteousness – that is best. That is from the signs of Allah that perhaps they will remember.  7:26

O children of Adam, let not Satan tempt you as he removed your parents from Paradise, stripping them of their clothing to show them their private parts. Indeed, he sees you, he and his tribe, from where you do not see them. Indeed, We have made the devils allies to those who do not believe.  7:27

And when they commit an immorality, they say, “We found our fathers doing it, and Allah has ordered us to do it.” Say, “Indeed, Allah does not order immorality. Do you say about Allah that which you do not know?”  7:28

Say, [O Muhammad], “My Lord has ordered justice and that you maintain yourselves [in worship of Him] at every place [or time] of prostration, and invoke Him, sincere to Him in religion.” Just as He originated you, you will return [to life] –  7:29

A group [of you] He guided, and a group deserved [to be in] error. Indeed, they had taken the devils as allies instead of Allah while they thought that they were guided.  7:30

He creates you in the wombs of your mothers, creation after creation in three veils of darkness, such is Allah your Lord. His is the kingdom, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He). How then are you turned away? 39:6

If you disbelieve, then verily, Allah is not in need of you, He likes not disbelief for His slaves. And if you are grateful (by being believers), He is pleased therewith for you. No bearer of burdens shall bear the burden of another. Then to your Lord is your return, so He will inform you what you used to do. But they do not harm anyone through it except by permission of Allah . And the people learn what harms them and does not benefit them. It is a historic fact that girls from the ages of 9 to 14 were being married in Europe, Asia, and Africa, in fact even in the United States girls at the age of 10 were also being married just more than a century ago. Meaning:-n>
Slander: the action or crime of making a false spoken statement damaging to a person’s reputation.
Manifest: to make clear or obvious to the eye or mind or the understanding; show plainly

The Prophet Muhammad taught love, kindness and compassion to his people, and was seen to be the most loving, kind, and compassionate of all of them. The Quran mentions his kind and gentle behavior in these words: “O Messenger of Allah! It is a great Mercy of God that you are gentle and kind towards them; for, had you been harsh and hard-hearted, they would all have broken away from you” (Quran 3:159).

There are many instances that show his kindness and gentleness, especially to the weak and the poor. Anas, who was his helper, said: “I served Allah’s Messenger for ten years and he never said to me, ‘Shame’ or ‘Why did you do such-and-such a thing?’ or ‘Why did you not do such-and-such a thing?’” (Bukhari, 2038).

Once he said to his wife: “0 ‘A’ishah! Never turn away any needy man from your door empty-handed. 0 ‘A’ishah! Love the poor; bring them near to you and God will bring you near to Him on the Day of Resurrection”. He also went much further on to say: “Seek me among your weak ones, for you are given provision, or you are given help only by reason of the presence of your weak ones”. (Rahman, Encyclopedia of Seerah, VOL. VIII, p. 151) God Almighty is Kind, and the Prophet imitated Allah’s example in its perfection by showing kindness to his servants and all creatures without any regard for their beliefs, color or nationality. The Prophet said: “God is kind and likes kindness in all things” (Bukhari, 6601).

His heart ached within him at the corrupt state of his fellow-Meccans and their rejection of One God. The Holy Quran testifies to it in these words: “0 Muhammad, you will, perhaps, consume yourself with grief because the people do not believe” (Quran 26:3). In Surah Kahf, we read: “Well, 0 Muhammad, it may be that you will kill yourself for their sake out of sorrow if they do not believe in this Message.” (Quran 18:6). And Surah Fatir says: “So let not your life be consumed in grief for their sake.” (Quran 35:8).

He took a great interest in the welfare of all people and had great compassion for people in trouble. The Prophet Muhammad imitated the attributes of God par excellence and translated them into practice in the highest form possible for man. Kindness is an attribute of Allah, which has no limits. It is extensive and encompasses all things and all beings without discrimination. Likewise was the kindness of the Prophet. He extended it to all beings, both animate and inanimate and benefited all without measure. The Quranic words for the Prophet’s kindness, ra’ufun rahirn (Quran 9:128) are very intensive and comprehensive in meaning and convey the true nature and extent of the Prophet’s kindness to people. The Prophet said: “One of the finest acts of kindness is for a man to treat his fathers’ friends in a kindly way after he has departed” (Abu dawud, 5123)

The issue of treating friends well was also extended to include relations: “He who wishes to have his provision enlarged and his term of life prolonged should treat his relatives well” (Bukhari, 5985). He emphasized on this matter because he deeply held the view that “Only kindness prolongs life, and a person is deprived of provisions for the faults he commits” (Ibn Majah). Bahz b. Hakim, on his father’s authority, said that his grandfather told him that he had asked Allah’s Messenger to whom he should show kindness and that the Prophet had replied: “Your mother.” He asked who came next and he replied: “Your mother.” He asked who came next and he replied for the third time: “Your mother.” He again asked who came next and he replied: “Your father, then your relatives in order of relationship” (Abu dawud, 5120). He dwelled on the issue of treating orphans humanely as he stated that “The best house among the Muslims is one which contains an orphan who is well treated, and the worst house among the Muslims is one which contains an orphan who is badly treated” (Ibn Majah, 3679). This means that the Prophet cautioned his followers against general maltreatment of anyone regardless of his status. By extending good treatment from friends to relatives and now to neighbors, Prophet Muhammad was intent in making all humans interdependent as he emphasized in the following words: “All creatures are Allah’s dependants, and those dearest to God are the ones who treat His dependants kindly” (Rahman, VOL VIII, p. 154). He emphasized the kind treatment of women again and again in his speeches:

Treat women kindly, since they are your helpers; . . . you have your rights upon your wives and they have their rights upon you. Your right is that they shall not allow anyone you dislike to enter your bed or your home, and their right is that you should treat them well. (from the Farewell Sermon of the Prophet)

Once a number of women complained to the Prophet’s wives about their ill-treatment by their husbands. On hearing of this, the Prophet said: “Such persons among you are not good persons.” (Abu Dawud, 1834). This

Then Shaitan (Satan) whispered to him, saying : “O Adam! Shall I lead you to the Tree of Eternity and to a kingdom that will never waste away?” 20:120

Later on Adam repented and his Lord chose him, accepted his repentance and gave him guidance, 20:122

Allah said: “Go away! Hell is your reward, and the reward of those who follow you, an ample reward it shall be. 17:63

Then Adam received appropriate words from his Lord and repented, and Allah accepted his repentance . Surely Allah is the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful 2:37
“Get out from here all of you,” We said at the time of Adam’s departure from Paradise. “There will come to you a guidance from Me, those who accept and follow it shall have nothing to fear or to regret. 2:38

Indeed, those who disbelieve, it is the same to them whether you (O Muhammad) warn them or do not warn them, they will not believe. 2:6

Allah has set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing, and over their vision is a veil. And for them is a great punishment 2:7
There are some people who say: “We believe in Allah and the Last Day” yet they are not true believers. 2:8
They try to deceive Allah and the believers. However, they deceive none except themselves yet they do not realize it. 2:9

Chapter:2 to Verse:3, 4 & 5

Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out (charity) of what We have provided for them, 2:3
And who believe in (the Quran) what has been revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what [the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), etc.] was revealed before you, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith]. 2:4
Those are upon [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful. 2:5

Chapter:2 Verse: 28 to 30

How can you disbelieve in Allah when you were lifeless and He brought you to life; then He will cause you to die, then He will bring you [back] to life, and then to Him you will be returned. 2:28
It is He who created for you all of that which is on the earth. Then He directed Himself to the heaven, [His being above all creation], and made them seven heavens, and He is Knowing of all things. 2:29
And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, “Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority.” They said, “Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?” Allah said, “Indeed, I know that which you do not know.” 2:30

Meaning:-

Chapter:2 Verse: 21 to 27

O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous2:21
[He] who made for you the earth a bed [spread out] and the sky a ceiling and sent down from the sky, rain and brought forth thereby fruits as provision for you. So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know [that there is nothing similar to Him]. 2:22
And if you doubt any part of what We have bestowed from on high, step by step, upon Our servant [Muhammad], then produce a surah of similar merit, and call upon any other than God to bear witness for you – if what you say is true! 2:23
But if you are unable to do so, and you can never do so, then fear the Hell fire, whose fuel is men and stones which is prepared for the unbelievers. 2:24
Give glad tidings to those who believe in this Book and do good deeds in accordance with its teachings for them there will be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they will be given fruits to eat they will say: “This is similar to the one we used to eat before on earth,” for the fruits will resemble the fruits on the earth for their easy identification and enjoyment; and for them there will be chaste virgin spouses, and they shall live therein forever. 2:25
Indeed, Allah is not timid to present an example – that of a mosquito or what is smaller than it. And those who have believed know that it is the truth from their Lord. But as for those who disbelieve, they say, “What did Allah intend by this as an example?” He misleads many thereby and guides many thereby. And He misleads not except the defiantly disobedient, 2:26
Those who break Allah’s Covenant after accepting it, and who cut aside what Allah has ordered to be united and cause corruption on earth. It is they who are the losers. 2:27

Chapter 2  – verse 2 to 21

This is the Book (the QURAN) about which there is no doubt, a guidance for those conscious of Allah 2:2
Who believe in the unseen, establish prayer, and spend out of what We have provided for them, 2:3
And who believe in (the QURAN) what has been revealed to you, [O Muhammad], and what [the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), etc.] was revealed before you, and of the Hereafter they are certain [in faith]. 2:4
Those are upon [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful. 2:5
Verily, those who disbelieve, it is the same to them whether you (O Muhammad) warn them or do not warn them, they will not believe.
There is a disease of deception in their heart; and Allah lets their disease increase, and they shall have painful punishment for the lies they have told. 2:10
And when it is said to them, “Do not cause corruption on the earth,” they say, “We are but peace-makers.” 2:11
Be aware! They are the ones who make mischief but they do not realize it. 2:12
When it is said to them: “Believe as the others believe” they sarcastically ask: “Should we believe like fools?” Be aware! They themselves are the fools, if only they could understand. 2:13
When they meet those who believe, they say: “We believe;” but when they are alone with their evil ones, they say: “We are really with you: We (were) only jesting.” 2:14
Allah will throw back their mockery on them and leave them alone in their trespasses; so they wander to and fro like blind. 2:15
Those are the ones who have purchased error [in exchange] for guidance, so their transaction has brought no profit, nor were they guided. 2:16
Their example is that of one who kindled a fire, but when it illuminated what was around him, Allah took away their light and left them in darkness [so] they could not see. 2:17
Deaf, dumb and blind – so they will not return [to the right path]. 2:18
Or [it is] like a rainstorm from the sky within which is darkness, thunder and lightning. They put their fingers in their ears against the thunderclaps in dread of death. But Allah is encompassing of the disbelievers. 2:19
The lightning almost snatches away their sight. Every time it lights [the way] for them, they walk therein; but when darkness comes over them, they stand [still]. And if Allah had willed, He could have taken away their hearing and their sight. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent. 2:20
