The one which will rise right to the hearts,

Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them

In pillars stretched forth (i.e. they will be punished in the Fire with pillars, etc.).
Meaning:-
Other possible translations:
1. “The Fire will be in towering columns.”
2. “They will be tied to long pillars.”
103:1
By the time through the ages!
103:2
Surely mankind is in loss,
103:3
Except for those who have believed and done good deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience.
102:1
O mankind, you have been distracted by the rivalry of piling up worldly gains against one another.
Meaning:-
Rivalry: competition for the same objective.
Piling: squeezing , pushing.
102:2
You will never be satisfied until you get into the grave.
102:3
Nevertheless, soon you shall come to know.
102:4
Again, nevertheless, soon you shall come to know.
102:5
Nay! Would that you knew through the real knowledge provided to you in this Qur’an and care about your life in the Hereafter.
102:6
Because on the Day of Judgement when you shall see the hell,
102:7
and see it with the certainty of your own eyes
102:8
you shall believe it, but that belief is going to do you no good because – on that Day, you shall be questioned about the blessings (faculties and resources that you were given in the worldly life – as to how you used them?)

The Qariah!

What is the Qariah?
101:3
And what will explain to you what the Qariah is?
101:4
It is that Day when mankind shall be like scattered moths
Meaning:-
Moth: an insect with wings that is similar to a butterfly.
101:5
And the mountains will become as carded wool.
101:6
On that Day, he whose scale of good deeds is heavy,
101:7
He will live a pleasant life (in Paradise).
101:8
But he whose scale of good deeds is light
101:9
He will have his home in Haviah (pit, i.e. Hell).
101:10
and what will explain to you, what it (Haviah) is?
101:11
It is a blazing fire.
Meaning:-
Blazing: burn fiercely or brightly.
100:1
By the snorting steeds (horses that are used in wars),
100:2
Striking sparks of fire (by their hooves),
Meaning:-
Hoof (Hooves is a plural of hoof) : the hard part on the bottom of the feet of horses.
100:3
making raids in the morning,
100:4
And raise the dust in clouds the while,
100:5
as they dash into the middle of the enemy troops!
100:6
Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful.
100:7
And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds);
100:8
and surely he is violent in his love of this worldly wealth.
100:9
Is he not aware that when those who lie in the graves will be raised to life,
100:10
And the secrets of the breasts are made known,
100:11
surely their Lord on that Day shall have full knowledge about them.
99:1
When the earth is shaken with its [final] earthquake
99:2
And the earth brings out its heavy (burdens),
99:3
And man will say: “What is the matter with it?”
99:4
That Day it will declare its information (about all what happened over it of good or evil).
99:5
Because your Lord has commanded it.
99:6
That Day, the mankind will depart separated [into categories] to be shown [the result of] their deeds.
99:7
So whosoever does good equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it.
99:8
And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it.
98:1
The disbelievers from the People of the Book and the polytheists were not going to desist ˹from disbelief˺ until the clear proof came to them:
Meaning:-
Polytheist: belief in more than one god or in many gods.
Desist:to cease, as from some action or proceeding; stop.
98:2
A Messenger (Muhammad) from Allah, reciting (the Quran) purified pages [purified from Al-Batil (falsehood, etc.)].
Meaning:-
Falsehood: lie, untruth, fabrication, fairy tale.
98:3
Containing correct and straight laws from Allah.
98:4
Those who were given the Book before this (Qur’an) did not divide into sects until after there came to them a clear proof.
98:5
And they have been commanded no more than this: To worship Allah, offering Him sincere devotion, being true (in faith); to establish regular prayer; and to practise regular charity; and that is the Religion Right and Straight.
Meaning:-
Devotion: religious worship, piety.
98:6
Indeed, they who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding eternally therein. Those are the worst of creatures.
Meaning:-
Polytheist: belief in more than one god or in many gods.
abiding: long-lasting, lifelong, permanent,
eternally: forever, permanent, everlasting, timeless, never-ending, nonstop.
98:7
Surely those who believe and do good deeds, are the best of all creatures.
98:8
Their reward with their Lord shall be the gardens of Eden, underneath which the rivers flow, to dwell therein forever. Allah shall be well pleased with them and they shall be well pleased with Him. That is for him who fears his Lord.
Meaning:-
Dwell: reside, live in or at a specified place.
97:1
Surely We have revealed this (Qur’an) in the night of Qadr.
97:2
And what will make you understand, what the night of Qadr is!
97:3
The night of Qadr is better than one thousand months (i.e. 83 years and 4 months).
97:4
Therein come down the angels and the Spirit by Allah’s permission, on every errand:
Meaning:-
Errand: a short journey undertaken in order to deliver or collect
97:5
that night is the night of Peace, till the break of morning.
96:1
Read! In the name of your Lord Who created
96:2
He created man from a clot.
Meaning:-
Clot: A thick, viscous, or coagulated mass or lump, as of blood.
96:3
Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous,
96:4
Who has taught (the writing) by the pen [the first person to write was Prophet Idrees (Enoch)].
96:5
Has taught man that which he knew not.
96:6
Nay! Verily, man does transgress all bounds (in disbelief and evil deed, etc.).
Meaning:-
Transgress: to violate a law, command, moral code, etc.; offend; sin.
96:7
Because he considers himself self-sufficient.
96:8
Indeed, to your Lord is the return.
96:9
Have you seen the one (Abu Jahl) who forbids
Meaning:-
Abu Jahl (Arabic): (born 556? died Wednesday, March 17, 624), was one of the Meccan polytheist pagan Qurayshi leaders known for his critical opposition towards the Islamic prophet Muhammad and the early Muslims in Mecca.
Forbids: prohibit, ban, refuse to allow (something).
96:10
Our servant (Muhammad) from offering Salah (prayer)?
96:11
Have you considered, if He (Muhammad) was on the right guidance,
96:12
Or he commands (people) to piety?
Meaning:-
Piety: devotion, piousness, religion.
96:13
Tell me if he (the disbeliever, Abu Jahl) denies (the truth, i.e. this Quran), and turns away?
96:14
Does he not know that Allah sees?
96:15
Nay! If he (Abu Jahl,) ceases not, We will catch him by the forelock,
Meaning:-

A lying, sinful forelock!

96:17
So let him call his supporters for help,
96:18
We too shall call the guards of hell to deal with him.
96:19
Nay! (O Muhammad)! Do not obey him (Abu Jahl). Fall prostrate and draw near to Allah!
Meaning:-
Prostrate: lying stretched out on the ground with one’s face downward, especially in reverence or submission.
95:1
By the fig and by the olive,
95:2
And [by] Mount Sinai
Meaning:-
Mount Sinai: is a mountain in the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt. This was the Mountain on which the Law was given to Moses, and the glory of Allah was made visible.
95:3
and by this city of peace (Makkah).
95:4
Verily, We created man of the best stature (mould),
Meaning:-
Stature: importance, development, or reputation gained by ability or achievement.
Mould: a distinctive and typical style, form, or character.
95:5
Then We return him to the lowest of the low,
95:6
except those who believe and do good deeds – for they shall have a never ending reward.
95:7
So, what causes them to disbelieve you concerning the Day of Judgement?
95:8
Is not Allah the best of all Judges?
94:1
Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your breast?
94:2
and relieved you from the burden
94:3
Which had weighed upon your back
94:4
And raised high your fame?
94:5
So verily, with the hardship, there is relief,
94:6
Verily, with the hardship, there is relief.
94:7
So when you have finished [your duties], then stand up [for worship].
94:8
and turn all your attention towards your Lord.
93:1
By the morning day light,
93:2
and by the night when it covers with darkness,
93:3
Your Lord (O Muhammad) has neither forsaken you nor hated you.
Meaning:-
Forsaken: Forgotten, left behind, and not cared for.
93:4
And indeed the Hereafter is better for you than the present (life of this world).
93:5
Soon your Lord shall grant you something with which you will be well-pleased.
93:6
Did He not find you (O Muhammad) an orphan and give you shelter?
93:7
Did He not find you lost and gave you guidance?
93:8
And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient.
93:9
Therefore, do not treat the orphan with harshness
93:10
and do not chide away the beggar,
Meaning:-
Chide: scold or rebuke.
93:11
And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces).
92:1
By the night, when it covers with darkness;
92:2
and by the day, when it spreads its brightness.
92:3
By Him who created the male and the female,
92:4
surely your efforts are directed towards various ends.
92:5
As for him who gives (in charity) and keeps his duty to Allah and fears Him,
92:6
And believes in the best [reward],
92:7
We will make smooth for him the path of ease (goodness).
92:8
But he who is greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient.
Meaning:-
Miser: a stingy.
92:9
And denies the best [reward],
92:10
We will make smooth for him the path for evil;
92:11
And what will his wealth benefit him when he goes down (in destruction).
92:12
Surely it is for Us to give guidance,
92:13
And truly, unto Us (belong) the last (Hereafter) and the first (this world).
92:14
Therefore I have warned you of a Fire blazing fiercely (Hell);
Meaning:-
Blazing: burn fiercely or brightly.
92:15
None shall reach it but those most unfortunate ones
92:16
who deny the truth and give no heed.
92:17
But the pious shall be kept away from it,
Meaning:-
pious: religious, God-fearing.
92:18
the one who spends in charity for self-purification,
92:19
not seeking any favor from anyone for which a reward is expected in return,
92:20
Except the seeking of the pleasure of his Lord, the Most High.
92:21
Such persons shall soon be well-pleased with Allah.
91:1
By the sun and its brightness
91:2
And by the moon as it follows it (the sun);
91:3
And by the day as it shows up (the sun’s) brightness;
91:4
And by the night as it conceals it (the sun);
Meaning:-
Conceal: to hide, to keep secret, to prevent or avoid disclosing, keep secret.
91:5
And [by] the sky and He who constructed it
91:6
And [by] the earth and He who spread it
91:7
by the soul and Him Who perfected it
91:8
Then He showed him what is wrong for him and what is right for him;
91:9
indeed successful will be the one who keeps it pure,
91:10
and indeed failure will be the one who corrupts it!
91:11
Thamud (people) denied (their Prophet) by reason of their transgression,
Meaning:-
Transgression: offense, crime, sin, wrong, wrongdoing.
91:12
When the most wicked man among them went forth (to kill the she-camel).
Meaning:-
Wicked: evil or morally wrong.
91:13
But the Messenger of Allah [Salih (Saleh) ] said to them: “Be cautious! Fear the evil end. That is the she-camel of Allah! (Do not harm it) and bar it not from having its drink!”
91:14
Then they denied him and they killed it. So their Lord destroyed them because of their sin, and made them equal in destruction (i.e. all grades of people, rich and poor, strong and weak, etc.)!
91:15
For He (Allah) has no fear of its consequences.
90:1
I swear by this city, Makkah –
90:2
And you, [O Muhammad], are free of restriction in this city –
90:3
And I swear by your father (Adam) and the children he begot (mankind),
Meaning:-
Begot (past of beget): To produce (children) by sexual reproduction..
90:4
We have certainly created man into hardship.
90:5
Does he think that never will anyone overcome him?
90:6
He shall say: I have wasted much wealth.
90:7
Does he think that no one has seen him?
90:8
Have We not given him two eyes to observe?
90:9
One tongue and two lips to control it?
90:10
Then shown him the two high ways (good leading towards paradise and evil leading towards hell)?
90:11
But he would not attempt the uphill road,
90:12
And what will make you comprehend what the uphill road is?
Meaning:-
Comprehend: to understand something completely:
90:13
It is the freeing of a slave
90:14
Or feeding on a day of severe hunger
90:15
to an orphan relative,
90:16
or to a needy in distress;
Meaning:-
Distress:extreme anxiety, sorrow, or pain.
90:16
or to a needy in distress;
Meaning:-
Distress: sorrow, or pain.
90:17
And then being among those who believed and advised one another to patience and advised one another to compassion.
90:18
Such are the people of the right hand (going towards paradise).
90:19
But those who disbelieve Our verses, they are the people of the left hand (going towards hell),
90:20
having fire all around them.
89:1
By the morning,
89:2
And [by] ten nights
89:3
And by the even and the odd (of all the creations of Allah).
89:4
and the night when it departs!
89:5
Is there not in these an oath (enough evidence) for those who use their common sense?
89:6
Did you (O Muhammad) not see (thought) how your Lord dealt with ‘Ad (people)?
89:7
The residents of Iram, the city of lofty pillars, (i.e., It is the city of Aad, who were stalwart and huge buildings).
Meaning:-
Lofty: tall, high, giant.
Stalwart: loyal, faithful, committed, hardworking.
89:8
the like of which had never been built in other cities.
89:9
And with the people of Thamud who hewed out their dwellings in the rocks of the valley?
Meaning:-
Hewed: chop or cut (something, especially wood) with an ax, pick, or other tool.
Dwellings: residence, home, house, accommodations.
89:10
And (with) Fir’aun (Pharaoh), who had pegs (who used to torture men by binding them to pegs)?
Meaning:-
Pegs: a short cylindrical piece of wood, metal, or plastic, typically tapered at one end, that is used for holding things together, hanging things on.
Torture: abuse, mistreat, causing great physical or mental pain.
89:11
They all transgressed beyond bounds in their cities,
Meaning:-
Transgressed: to violate a law, command, moral code, etc.; offend; sin.
89:12
And increased therein the corruption.
89:13
So your Lord poured upon them a scourge of punishment.
Meaning:-
Scourge: cause great suffering to or a lot of trouble
89:14
Most surely your Lord is watching.
89:15
As for man, when his Lord tries him through giving him honor and blessings, he says: “My Lord is bountiful to me.”
Meaning:-
Bountiful: giving generously.
89:16
But when He tries him and restricts his provision, he says, “My Lord has humiliated me.”
Meaning:-
Provision: food or other necessities
89:17
Nay! But you did not show kindness to the orphan,
89:18
nor did you encourage each other in feeding the poor.
89:19
Greedily you lay your hands on the inheritance of the weak,
Meaning:-
Greedily: having or showing a selfish desire to have more of something (such as money or food) : having greed
Inheritance: money, land, or possessions received from someone after the person has died
89:20
and you love wealth with all your hearts.
89:21
Nay! You should know, when the earth will be pounded to powder,
Meaning:-
Pounded: crashed.
89:22
your Lord will come, with angels standing in ranks,
89:23
hell shall be brought in sight. On that Day man will remember his deeds, but how is that remembrance going to profit him?
89:24
He will say: “Alas! Would that I had sent forth some good deeds for this life of mine.”
Meaning:-
Alas: an expression of grief, pity, or concern.
89:25
None can punish as Allah will punish on that Day,
89:26
and none can bind as He will bind.
Meaning:-
Bind: tie or fasten (something) tightly.
89:27
To the righteous soul it will be said: “O fully satisfied soul!
Meaning:-
Righteous: (of a person or conduct) morally right or justifiable; virtuous, very good; excellent.
89:28
Return to your Lord, well pleased with Him and well-pleasing to Him.
89:29
“Enter you, then, among My honoured slaves,
89:30
“And enter you My Paradise!”
88:1
Has there come to you the narration of the overwhelming (i.e. the Day of Resurrection);
Meaning:-
Overwhelming: difficult to fight against, forceful, uncontrollable,
88:2
Some faces, that Day, will be humiliated,
Meaning:-
humiliate: embarrass, disgrace, shame.
88:3
Working [hard] and exhausted.
88:4
They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire.
88:5
They will be given to drink from a boiling fountain,
88:6
No food will there be for them but a poisonous thorny plant,
Meaning:-
Thorny: having many thorns or thorn bushes.
88:7
which will neither provide nourishment nor satisfy hunger.
Meaning:-
Nourishment: food, sustenance.
88:8
(Other) faces, that Day, will be joyful,
88:9
With their effort [they are] satisfied
88:10
In a high Garden
88:11
Where they shall neither hear harmful speech nor falsehood,
88:12
Therein will be a running fountain,
88:13
Therein they shall be reclining on raised soft couches,
Meaning:-
Reclining: lean or lie back in a relaxed position with the back supported.
88:14
with goblets placed before them;
Meaning:-
Goblet: a drinking glass, wine glass.
88:15
And cushions set in rows,
Meaning:-
Cushions: soft pad (pillow) used to sit, lie, or kneel on, or to lean against.
88:16
And carpets spread around.
88:17
Then do they not look at the camels – how they are created?
88:18
And at the sky – how it is raised?
88:19
The mountains, how they were firmly set?
88:20
And at the earth – how it is spread out?
88:21
So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder.
88:22
You are not over them a controller.
88:23
As for those who turn their backs and disbelieve,
88:24
Allah will punish them with the mighty punishment.
88:25
Surely to Us is their return,
88:26
then surely it is for Us to take their account.
87:1
Praise the name of thy Lord the Most High,
87:2
Who has created all things and perfected them.
87:3
Who has set their destinies and guided them.
Meaning:-
Destinies: future, fate, fortune.
87:4
Who brings forth green pasture,
Meaning:-
Pasture: A tract of land that supports grass, plants, or other vegetation.
87:5
Then makes it dried up, dust-colored.
87:6
We shall make you to recite (the Quran), so you (O Muhammad) shall not forget (it),
87:7
Except what Allah wills. Surely He knows what is open and what is hidden.
87:8
We shall make it easy for you (O Muhammad) to follow the easy way.
87:9
Therefore remind (men) in case the reminder profits (them).
87:10
He who fears Allah will heed the reminder,
87:11
and he who is unfortunate will avoid it.
87:12
[He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire,
87:13
Wherein he will neither die (to be in rest) nor live (a good living).
87:14
He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself,
87:15
who remembers the name of his Lord and prays.
87:16
But O men! You prefer the life of this world;
87:17
while the Hereafter is better and everlasting.
87:18
Surely the same was said in the earlier scriptures;
87:19
the scriptures of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Musa (Moses).
86:1
By the heaven, and At-Tariq (the night-comer, i.e. the bright star);
86:2
And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is?
86:3
(It is) the star of piercing brightness;
Piercing: (of eyes or a look) appearing to see through.
86:4
(Just as Allah Almighty is taking care of each star in the galaxies, similarly) over each soul there is an appointed guardian angel.
86:5
Now let man but think from what he is created!
86:6
He is created from a drop emitted–
Meaning:-
Emitted: discharge, release,
86:7
Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs,
86:8
Surely He, the Creator, has the power to bring him back to life,
86:9
The Day when all the secrets (deeds, prayers, fasting, etc.) will be examined (as to their truth).
86:10
Then man will have no power or any helper.
86:11
By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again.
86:12
and by the earth which is ever bursting with new growth;
86:13
surely this Qur’an is a decisive word,
Meaning:-
Decisive: producing a definite result.
86:14
and it is no joke.
86:15
These unbelievers of Makkah are plotting a scheme (against you O Muhammad).
86:16
And I (too) am planning a plan.
86:17
Therefore, leave the unbelievers alone. Leave them alone for a while.
85:1
By the sky containing great stars
85:2
By the promised Day of Judgment!
85:3
And [by] the witness and what is witnessed,
85:4
Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King).
85:5
[Containing] the fire full of fuel,
85:6
When they were sitting near it
85:7
And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them).
85:8
They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise!
85:9
Who, to Whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything.
85:10
Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire.
85:11
As for those who believe and do good deeds, they shall have gardens beneath which rivers flow; which will be the greatest success.
85:12
Verily, (O Muhammad) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe.
85:13
Surely, He it is Who originates the creation of everything, and He it is Who will repeat it on the Day of Resurrection.
85:14
He is the Forgiving, the Loving,
85:15
Honorable Owner of the Throne,
85:16
He does what He intends (or wills).
85:17
Have you not heard the story of the warriors
Meaning:-
Warrior: fighter, combatant, soldier.
85:18
of Fir’on (Pharaoh) and of Thamud?
85:19
Nay! those who disbelieve are in (the act of) giving the lie to the truth,
85:20
although Allah has encircled them from all around.
85:21
Surely this is a Glorious Qur’an,
85:22
(Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)!

When the sky has split [open]
84:2
And listens and obeys its Lord, and it must do so;
84:3
When the earth will spread out
84:4
And has cast out all that was in it and became empty,
84:5
And listens and obeys its Lord, and it must do so;
84:6
O mankind! Verily, you are returning towards your Lord with your deeds and actions (good or bad), a sure returning, so you will meet (i.e. the results of your deeds which you did).
84:7
Then he who will be given his Book of deeds in his right hand,
84:8
He will be judged with an easy account
84:9
And return to his people in happiness.
84:10
But he who will be given his book of deeds from behind his back,
84:11
shall soon be calling for death,
84:12
And shall enter a blazing Fire, and made to taste its burning.
Meaning:-
Blazing: burn fiercely or brightly.
84:13
Indeed, he had [once] been among his people in happiness;
84:14
Indeed, he had thought he would never return [to Allah ].
84:15
Yet, surely his Lord was ever watching over his misdeeds.
84:16
I swear by the glow of sunset;
Meaning:-
Glow: give out steady light without flame.
84:17
And by the night and whatever it gathers in its darkness;
84:18
And [by] the moon when it becomes full
84:19
You shall certainly travel from stage to stage (in this life and in the Hereafter).
84:20
What is the matter with the people that they do not believe,
84:21
And, when the Qur’an is recited unto them, worship not (Allah)?
84:22
But on the contrary the Unbelievers reject (it).
84:23
and Allah knows what they are hiding in their hearts.
84:24
Therefore, announce to them a painful punishment,
84:25
except those who embrace the true faith and do good deeds; for them there will be a never ending reward.
83:1
Woe to those that deal in fraud,-
Meaning:-
Woe: great sorrow or distress.
