Their end will be the same as that of the people of Fir’on (Pharaoh) and their predecessors who denied Our signs, so Allah called them to account for their sins. Allah is strict in retribution.
Meaning:-
Predecessors: that came before and was replaced by a newer one
Retribution: deserved, severe punishment or vengeance given in return for a wrongdoing, offense, or crime
