When the Event (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) befalls.
Meaning:-
Befalls:to take place or to occur. If something unpleasant or dangerous befalls you, it happens to you.

And there can be no denying of its befalling.
Meaning:-
Befalls (befalling): If something bad or dangerous befalls you, it happens to you: to take place or to occur. If something unpleasant or dangerous befalls you, it happens to you.
56:3
It will bring down [some] and raise up [others].
56:4
When the earth will be shaken with a terrible shake.
56:5
And the mountains will be powdered to dust.
56:6
So that they will become floating dust particles.
56:7
Then you shall be divided into three groups:
56:8
So those on the Right Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Records in their right hands), Who will be those on the Right Hand? (As a respect for them, because they will enter Paradise).
56:9
And those on the Left Hand (i.e. those who will be given their Record in their left hands), Who will be those on the Left Hand? (As a disgrace for them, because they will enter Hell).
56:10
And those Foremost (in Faith) will be Foremost (in the Hereafter).
56:11
These will be those Nearest to Allah:
56:12
In the Gardens of delight (Paradise).
56:13
A multitude of those (foremost) will be from the first generations (who embraced Islam).
Meaning:-
Multitude: a large gathering of people.
Foremost: most prominent in rank, importance, or position.
56:14
And a few of those (foremost) will be from the later time (generations).
Meaning:-
Foremost: most prominent in rank, importance, or position.
56:15
(They will be) on Thrones encrusted (with gold and precious stones),
Meaning:-
Encrusted: to covered, to decorate lavishly, as with jewels
56:16
Reclining on them, facing each other.
Meaning:-
Reclining: lean or lie back in a relaxed position with the back supported.
56:17
There will circulate among them young boys made eternal
Meaning:-
Eternal: permanent, everlasting, timeless, never-ending
56:18
With cups, and jugs, and a glass from the flowing wine,
56:19
No headache will they have therefrom, nor will they be intoxicated –
56:20
They shall have fruits of their own choice
56:21
And the meat of fowl, from whatever they desire.
Meaning:-
Fowl: the flesh of birds, especially of the domestic cock or hen, as food; poultry.
56:22
And [for them are] fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes,
56:23
as lovely as well guarded pearls
56:24
as a reward for their good deeds that they had done.
56:25
There they shall not hear any ill speech nor sinful words,
56:26
but only the greetings of “Peace be upon you! Peace be upon you!”
56:27
Those of the right hand – happy shall be those on the right hand!
56:28
They shall be among the thorn less lote trees,
Meaning:-
Lote tree may refer to: Sidrat al-Muntaha, the tree that marks the end of the seventh heaven, the boundary where no creation can pass, and beyond which is the Throne of Allah,
56:29
And [banana] trees layered [with fruit]
56:30
extended thick shades,
56:31
And water poured out
56:32
And many (kinds) of fruit-
56:33
Whose season is not limited, and their supply will not be cut off,
56:34
And on Thrones (of Dignity), raised high.
56:35
Indeed, We have produced the women of Paradise in a [new] creation
56:36
and make them virgins
56:37
beloved by nature, equal in age,
56:38
For the Companions of the Right Hand.
56:39
A multitude of those (on the Right Hand) will be from the first generation (who embraced Islam).
Meaning:-

and many from the later generations.
56:41
As for those of the left hand – how unfortunate will be the people of the left hand!
56:42
(They will be) In hot wind and boiling water,
56:43
and in the shade of a pitch-black smoke,
56:44
(That shadow) neither cool, nor (even) good,
56:45
Surely they were before that (living) in ease and luxury.
56:46
And were persisting in great sin (joining partners in worship along with Allah, committing murders and other crimes, etc.)
Meaning:-
Persisting: stay, continue firmly, to continue to do something.
56:47
and used to say: “When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, shall we then be raised to life again?
56:48
And our forefathers [as well]?”
56:49
Say (O Muhammad): “(Yes) verily, those of old, and those of later times.
56:50
shall certainly be brought together on an appointed time of a known Day.
56:51
“Then moreover, verily, you the erring-ones, the deniers (of Resurrection)!
56:52
Will be eating from trees of zaqqum
Meaning:-
Zaqqum (Arabic): is a tree that “springs out of the bottom of hell-fire” or Jahannam.
56:53
And filling with it your bellies
56:54
And drink boiling water on top of it
56:55
And will drink as the drinking of thirsty camels.
56:56
That will be their entertainment on the Day of Recompense!
56:57
We have created you, so why do you not believe?
56:58
Have you ever considered the semen you discharge:
56:59
Is it you who create the child from it, or are We the Creator?
56:60
It is We Who have ordained death among you and We are not helpless
Meaning:-
Ordain: order, command.
56:61
In that We will change your likenesses and produce you in that [form] which you do not know.
56:62
And you have already known the first creation, so will you not remember?
56:63
And have you seen that [seed] which you sow?
Meaning:-
Sow: plant (seed) by scattering it on or in the earth.
56:64
Is it you who cause it to grow or are We the grower?
56:65
If We willed, We could make it [dry] debris, and you would remain in wonder,
Meaning:-
Debris: The scattered remains of something broken or destroyed; rubble or wreckage
56:66
(Saying), “We are indeed left with debts (for nothing):
56:67
“Indeed are we shut out (of the fruits of our labour)”
56:68
And have you seen the water that you drink?
56:69
Is it you who send it down from the clouds or are We the sender?
56:70
If it be Our Will, We could turn it salty. Why then do you not give thanks?
56:71
Have you ever considered the fire that you kindle?
Meaning:-
kindle: light, ignite or set on fire
56:72
Is it you who made the tree thereof to grow, or are We the Grower?
56:73
We have made it a reminder for man as to what would be the life without it, and a provision of life for the travellers of desert.
56:74
So glorify the name of your Lord, Who is the Greatest.
56:75
But nay! I swear by the falling of stars;
56:76
And most surely it is a very great oath if you only knew;
56:77
that this is indeed a Glorious Qur’an,
56:78
In a Book well-guarded (with Allah in the heaven i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz).

Which (that Book with Allah) none can touch but the purified (i.e. the angels).
56:80
A revelation (this Quran) from the Lord of the Worlds.
56:81
Is it such a talk (this Quran) that you (disbelievers) deny?
56:82
And instead (of thanking Allah) for the provision He gives you, on the contrary, you deny Him (by disbelief)!
56:83
Why is it not then that when you see a dying person’s soul come up to his throat
56:84
while you are helplessly watching
56:85
– and at that time We are nearer to him than you, although you cannot see Us.
56:86
why, then, if [you think that] you are not truly dependent [on Us],
56:87
Bring back the soul (to its body), if you are truthful?
56:88
Then if the dying person is one of those near to Us,
56:89
(There is for him) rest and provision, and a Garden of delights (Paradise).
56:90
And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand,
56:91
Then [the angels will say], “Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right.”
56:92
And if he is one of the mistaken rejecters,
56:93
Then the welcome will be boiling water
56:94
And burning in Hellfire
56:95
Surely this is an absolute truth.
56:96
Therefore, glorify the name of your Rabb, Who is the Greatest.
