Which (that Book with Allah) none can touch but the purified (i.e. the angels).

A revelation (this Quran) from the Lord of the Worlds.

Is it such a talk (this Quran) that you (disbelievers) deny?
56:82
And instead (of thanking Allah) for the provision He gives you, on the contrary, you deny Him (by disbelief)!
56:83
Why is it not then that when you see a dying person’s soul come up to his throat
56:84
while you are helplessly watching
56:85
– and at that time We are nearer to him than you, although you cannot see Us.
56:86
why, then, if [you think that] you are not truly dependent [on Us],
56:87
Bring back the soul (to its body), if you are truthful?
56:88
Then if the dying person is one of those near to Us,
56:89
(There is for him) rest and provision, and a Garden of delights (Paradise).
56:90
And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand,
56:91
Then [the angels will say], “Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right.”
56:92
And if he is one of the mistaken rejecters,
56:93
Then the welcome will be boiling water
56:94
And burning in Hellfire
56:95
Surely this is an absolute truth.
56:96
Therefore, glorify the name of your Rabb, Who is the Greatest.

The Most Beneficent (Allah)!
55:2
Who taught you the Qur’an.
55:3
He created man.
55:4
And taught him how to speak and convey his feelings and thoughts.
55:5
The sun and the moon run on their fixed courses (exactly) calculated with measured out stages for each (for reckoning, etc.).
Meaning:-
Reckoning: calculation, estimation, count, computation.
55:6
And the stars and trees prostrate.
Meaning:-
Prostrate: lying stretched out on the ground with one’s face downward, especially in reverence or submission.
55:7
And the heaven He has raised high, and He has set up the Balance.
55:8
That you not transgress within the balance.
Meaning:-
Transgress: to violate a law, command, moral code, etc.; offend; sin.
55:9
Therefore, you also establish weight with justice and do not give less measure.
55:10
And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures.
55:11
Therein is fruit and date-palms, producing spathes (enclosing dates);
55:12
And also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-scented plants.
Meaning:-
Fodder: something fed to domestic animals; especially : coarse food for cattle, horses, or sheep.
55:13
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:14
He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery.
Meaning:-
Pottery: Ware, such as vases, pots, bowls, or plates, shaped from moist clay and hardened by heat.
55:15
And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire.
55:16
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:17
(He is) the Lord of the two easts (places of sunrise during early summer and early winter) and the Lord of the two wests (places of sunset during early summer and early winter).
55:18
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:19
He has let loosed the two seas (the salt water and the sweet) meeting together.
55:20
Yet, between them is a barrier which they cannot cross.
55:20
Yet, between them is a barrier which they cannot cross.

Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:22
He produces pearls and coral-stone, from both of them.
55:23
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:24
And to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountains.
55:25
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:26
All that exists on the earth will perish,
Meaning:-
Perish: disappear, vanish,
55:27
But the Face of your Lord will remain full of Majesty and Glory.
55:28
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:29
All those who are in the heavens and the earth ask of Him; every moment He is in a state (of glory).
55:30
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:31
O you, the two burdens (jinns and mankind)! Soon We shall find the time to call you to account.
55:32
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:33
You, the assembly of jinns and men! If you have the power to get away from the boundaries of the heavens and the earth (to escape from His punishment), then get away! You cannot get away except with Our authority
55:34
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:34
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:35
The flames of fire and molten brass will be unleashed on you both, jinns and men, and you will not be able to defend yourselves.
Meaning:-
Molten: metal or rock is in a liquid state because of great heat.
Unleash: to suddenly release a violent force that cannot be controlled.
55:36
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:37
When the heaven splits asunder and reddens like red-oil.
Meaning:-
Asunder: into pieces, apart; divided.
55:38
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:39
So on that Day no question will be asked of man or jinn as to his sin, (because they have already been known from their faces either white or black).
55:40
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:41
Because the sinners will be recognized by their faces and they shall be seized by their forelocks and their feet.
Meaning:-
Forelock: the lock of hair that grows from the fore part of the head.
55:42
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:43
It will be said to them: “This is the hell which the criminals had denied.”
55:44
They shall wander to and fro between fire and hot boiling water.
55:45
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:46
For those who fear standing before their Lord, there will be two gardens (i.e. in Paradise).
55:47
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:48
Having shady trees with lush green branches.
Meaning:-
Lush: (of vegetation) growing luxuriantly.
55:49
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:50
In both of them there will be two flowing springs.
55:51
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:52
In both of them there will be two kinds of every fruit.
55:53
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:54
They will recline on couches lined with rich brocade while the fruit of the gardens will be within their easy reach.
Meaning:-
Recline: lean or lie back in a relaxed position with the back supported.
Brocade: a rich fabric, usually silk, woven with a raised pattern, typically with gold or silver thread.
55:55
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:56
In them are women limiting [their] glances, untouched before them by man or jinni –
55:57
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:58
(In beauty) they are like rubies and coral.
55:59
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:60
Is there any reward for good other than good?
55:61
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:62
And besides these two, there are two other Gardens (i.e. in Paradise).
55:63
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:64
Densely shaded with dark green trees.
55:65
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:66
In them (both) will be two springs gushing forth water.
Meaning:-
Gushing: to flow out very quickly and in large amounts.
55:67
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:68
In them (both) will be fruits, and date- palms and pomegranates.
55:69
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:70
Therein (gardens) will be fair (wives) good and beautiful;
55:71
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:72
Hûris (beautiful damsels) sheltered in their tents.
Meaning:-
Houri: a beautiful young woman, especially one of the virgin companions of the faithful in the Muslim Paradise.
Damsel: a young unmarried woman or girl.
55:73
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:74
Whom neither man nor Jinn has ever touched before.
55:75
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:76
Reclining on green cushions and beautiful fine carpets.
Meaning:-
Recline: lean or lie back in a relaxed position with the back supported.
Cushion: a pillow or pad stuffed with a mass of soft material, used as a comfortable support for sitting or leaning on.
55:77
Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny?
55:78
Blessed be the Name of your Lord (Allah), the Owner of Majesty and Honour.
54:1
The Hour has come near, and the moon has split [in two].
54:2
Yet when they see a sign, the unbelievers turn their backs and say: “This is an ingenious magic.”
Meaning:-
Ingenious: talented, gifted, skillful.
54:3
They denied (the Verses of Allah, this Quran), and followed their own lusts. And every matter will be settled [according to the kind of deeds (for the doer of good deeds, his deeds will take him to Paradise, and similarly evil deeds will take their doers to Hell)].
Meaning:-
Lust: a passionate, sexual immorality or overmastering desire or craving
Doer: a person or thing that does something, especially a person who gets things done with vigor and efficiency.
54:4
And indeed there has come to them news (in this Quran) wherein there is (enough warning) to check (them from evil),
54:5
Perfect wisdom (this Quran), but (the preaching of) warners benefit them not,
54:6
Therefore, (O Prophet,) turn away from them. The Day that the Caller will call (them) to a terrible affair,
54:7
Their eyes humbled, they will emerge from the graves as if they were locusts spreading,
Meaning:-
Locust: any of several grasshoppers of the family Acrididae, having short antennae and from time to time there is a population explosion.
54:8
Racing ahead toward the Caller. The disbelievers will say, “This is a difficult Day.”
54:9
The people of Noah denied before them, and they denied Our servant and said, “A madman,” and he was driven out.
54:10
So he invoked his Lord, “Indeed, I am overpowered, so help.”
54:11
Then We opened the gates of the heaven with rain pouring down
54:12
and caused the earth to burst with gushing springs, and the waters met to fulfill the decreed end.
54:13
We carried him in an Ark built with planks and nails,
Meaning:-
Plank: a long, flat piece of wood.
54:14
which drifted on under Our care: a reward for him (Noah) who was denied by the unbelievers.
Meaning:-
Drift: float, the flow or the speed in knots of an ocean current.
54:15
We have left that Ark as a sign, so is there any who would take admonition?
Meaning:-
Admonition: warning, advice, or caution.
54:16
How terrible was My punishment and how clear My warning!
54:17
And We have indeed made the Quran easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)?
Meaning:-
Admonition: warning, advice, or caution.
54:18
Likewise the people of ‘Ad did not believe then how terrible was My punishment and how clear My Warning!
54:19
We let loose on them a tornado, on the day of their bitter misfortune,
54:20
which snatched them off like trunks of uprooted palm-trees.
54:21
How terrible was My punishment and how clear My warning!
54:22
And We have indeed made the Quran easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)?
Meaning:-
Admonition: warning, advice, or caution.
54:23
The people of Thamud disbelieved Our warning,
54:24
And said, “Is it one human being among us that we should follow? Indeed, we would then be in error and madness.
54:25
Has the message been sent down upon him [Prophet Salih (Saleh) ] from among us? Rather, he is an insolent liar.”
Meaning:-
Insolent: showing a rude and arrogant lack of respect
54:26
They will know tomorrow who is the insolent liar.
Meaning:-
Insolent: showing a rude and arrogant lack of respect.
54:27
Verily, We are sending the she-camel as a test for them. So watch them [O Salih (Saleh) ], and be patient!
54:28
Tell them that the water must be shared between them and the she-camel, and each will come to the water at its own turn.
54:29
But they called their companion and he took (a sword) and killed (her).
54:30
Then how terrible was My punishment and how clear My warning!
54:31
Indeed, We sent upon them one blast from the sky, and they became like the dry twig fragments of an [animal] pen.
Meaning:-
Twig: stick.
Fragment: piece.
54:32
And indeed, We have made the Quran easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)?
Meaning:-
Admonition: warning, advice, or caution.
54:33
Another example is the people of Lut (Lot) who disbelieved Our warning.
54:34
Indeed, We sent upon them a storm of stones, except the family of Lot – We saved them before dawn.
54:35
through Our grace. Thus do We reward those who give thanks.
54:36
Lut did warn them of Our Punishment but they doubted his warnings.
54:37
They even sought to snatch away his guests from him but We blinded their eyes, and said: “Now taste My punishment and the result of disbelieving My warning.”
54:38
At daybreak they were overtaken by a lasting punishment
54:39
as if to say: “Now taste My punishment and the result of disbelieving My warning.”
54:40
And indeed, We have made the Quran easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)?
Meaning:-
Admonition: warning, advice, or caution
54:41
And indeed, warnings came to the people of Fir’aun (Pharaoh) [through Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)].
54:42
They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability.
Meaning:-
Exalted: placed at a high or powerful level; held in high regard.
54:43
Are the unbelievers of yours better than these, or is there an exemption for you in the scriptures?
54:44
Or, do they say: “Acting together, we can defend ourselves?”
54:45
[Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat].
54:46
Nay, the Hour (of Judgment) is the time promised them (for their full recompense): And that Hour will be most grievous and most bitter.
54:47
Indeed, the criminals are in error and madness.
54:48
The Day they will be dragged in the Fire on their faces (it will be said to them): “Taste you the touch of Hell!”
54:49
Surely We have created everything in perfect estimation (destiny and purpose).
54:50
We command but once and Our will is done in the twinkling of an eye.
54:51
O disbelievers, We have already destroyed many like you. Will you not take admonition?
Meaning:-
Admonition: warning, advice, or caution
54:52
And each and everything they have done is noted in (their) Records (of deeds).
54:53
And everything small and great is written down.
54:54
Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and rivers,
54:55
In the seat of honor with a most Powerful King.
53:1
By the star when it goes down, (or vanishes).
53:2
your companion (Muhammad) is neither astray, nor misguided,
Meaning:-
Astray: into error, away from the correct path or direction
53:3
Nor does he speak of (his own) desire
53:4
This Qur’an is but an inspired revelation.
Meaning:-
Inspired: of extraordinary quality, Outstanding or brilliant in a way or to a degree suggestive of divine inspiration.
53:5
He is being taught by one who is mighty, powerful (angel Gabriel);
53:6
Owner of resolute splendor; (Literally: ability to transform; to convey revelation, i.e. Jibril “Angle Gabriel) so he leveled himself.
Meaning:-
Resolute: admirably purposeful, determined, and unwavering.
Splendor: magnificent features or qualities.
53:7
While he [Jibrael (Gabriel)] was in the highest part of the horizon,
Meaning:-
Horizon: the limit or range of knowledge, understanding, or experience.
53:8
Then he [Jibrael (Gabriel)] approached and came closer,
53:9
within the length of two bows or even closer,
53:10
and revealed to Allah’s servant [Muhammad through Jibrael (Gabriel) ] that what he was supposed to reveal.
53:11
His (Muhammad’s) own heart did not deny that which he saw.
53:12
Will you then dispute with him (Muhammad) about what he saw [during the Mi’raj: (Ascent of the Prophet over the seven heavens)].
53:13
And indeed he (Muhammad) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] at a second descent (i.e. another time).
53:14
near Sidra-tul-Muntaha (the Lot-tree at the farthest end of the seven heavens, beyond which none can pass).
Meaning:-
Lote tree may refer to: Sidrat al-Muntaha, the tree that marks the end of the seventh heaven, the boundary where no creation can pass, and beyond which is the Throne of Allah,
53:15
Near it is Janna-tul-M’awa (the rest-house of paradise).
53:16
When that Lot-tree was covered with what covered it,
Meaning:-
Lote tree may refer to: Sidrat al-Muntaha, the tree that marks the end of the seventh heaven, the boundary where no creation can pass, and beyond which is the Throne of Allah,
53:17
The sight [of the Prophet] did not swerve, nor did it transgress [its limit].
Meaning:-
Swerve: to turn aside abruptly in movement or direction; deviate suddenly from the straight or direct course.
Transgress: break the law, wrongdoing, disobey.
53:18
Indeed he (Muhammad) did see, of the Greatest Signs, of his Lord (Allah).
53:19
Have you then considered Al-Lat, and Al-‘Uzza (two idols of the pagan Arabs).
Meaning:-
Al-Lat, and Al-‘Uzza: Three of them are referred to as the daughters of Allah. The Goddesses Al-Uzza, Al-Lat and Menat was most venerated Arab Deities. They were widely worshipped, and the three of them were very popular Goddesses in Mecca at the time of prophet Mohammed (PBUH).
Pagan: is a person who worships many gods or who worships nature and the Earth
53:20
and another, the last third Manat (names of Arabian idols, claimed by the pagans of Makkah to be the daughters of Allah)?
Meaning:-
Al-Uzza, Al-Lat and Menat (Arab Deities) : Three of them are referred to as the daughters of Allah. The Goddesses Al-Uzza, Al-Lat and Menat was most venerated Arab Deities. They were widely worshipped, and the three of them were very popular Goddesses in Mecca at the time of prophet Mohammed (PBUH).

Is the male for you and for Him the female?
53:22
This indeed is an unfair division!
53:23
These (Lat, Uzza and Manat) are nothing but names which you and your forefathers have invented, for Allah has vested no authority in them. The unbelievers follow nothing but mere conjecture and the whims of their own souls, even though right guidance has already come to them from their Lord.
Meaning:-

vested:held completely, permanently.
Conjecture: speculation, guesswork, assumption.
Whim: a sudden wish or idea, especially one that cannot be reasonably explained
53:24
Or should man have whatever he wishes?
53:25
Nay! To Allah belongs the hereafter and this present life.
53:26
And how many an angel is there in the heavens whose intercession does not avail at all except after Allah has given permission to whom He pleases and chooses.
Meaning:-
Intercession: prayer, petition, or entreaty in favor of another.
53:27
Indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter name the angels female names,
53:28
While they have no knowledge thereof. They follow but a guess, and verily, guess is no substitute for the truth.
53:29
Therefore withdraw (O Muhammad) from him who turns away from Our Reminder (this Quran) and desires nothing but the life of this world.
53:30
This is the sum of their knowledge. Surely your Lord knows who have strayed from His path, and who are rightly guided.
Meaning:-
Stray: to go astray; deviate, to deviate from the direct course.
53:31
And to Allah belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth, that He may recompense those who do evil with that which they have done (i.e. punish them in Hell), and reward those who do good, with what is best (i.e. Paradise).
53:32
Those who avoid the major sins and immoralities, only [committing] slight ones. Indeed, your Lord is vast in forgiveness. He was most knowing of you when He produced you from the earth and when you were fetuses in the wombs of your mothers. So do not claim yourselves to be pure; He is most knowing of who fears Him.
Meaning:-
Immorality: corruption, dishonesty, character, or conduct; wickedness; evilness and sexual misconduct.
53:33
Have you seen the one who (Walid bin Mughirah, who was willing to embrace Islam, but upon someone’s promise to take the responsibility of getting the punishment on his behalf in lieu of certain amount of money, he) turned away.
Meaning:-
Lieu: instead, in place of.
53:34
He gave a little from the promised amount then stopped.
53:35
Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen that he could see reality?
53:36
Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses
53:37
and of Ibrahim (Abraham) who always kept his word:
53:38
“That no soul shall bear the burden of another,
53:39
And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad).
53:40
And that his deeds will be seen,
53:41
that he shall be fully rewarded for it,
53:42
that to your Lord is the final goal,
53:43
And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep;
Meaning:-
Weep: cry, shed tears.
53:44
And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life;
53:45
And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female,
53:46
from a drop of ejaculated semen,
53:47
that it rests upon Him to grant the second life (the life of hereafter),
53:48
that it is He Who gives wealth and property,
53:49
that He is even the Lord of the Sirius (dog star whom the pagans Arabs used to worship),
Meaning:-
Sirius: the Dog Star, the brightest-appearing star in the heavens, the brightest star in the Earth’s night sky.
Pagan: is a person who worships many gods or who worships nature and the Earth
53:50
And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient ‘Ad (people),
53:51
then the people of Thamud, sparing no one,
53:52
and before them the people of Nuh (Noah), who were the most unjust and rebellious.
Meaning:-
Rebellious: disobedient, insubordinate.
53:53
And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent].
53:54
So there covered them that which did cover (i.e. torment with stones).
Meaning:-
Torment: torture, pain, severe physical or mental suffering.
53:55
Then which of your Lord’s blessings would you doubt?
53:56
This (Muhammad) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old.
53:57
The ever approaching (the Day of Judgement) is drawing near;
53:58
none but Allah can disclose it.
53:59
Do you then wonder at this revelation,
53:60
and laugh instead of weeping?
53:61
Rather you are wasting your time,
53:62
prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship Him while you can!
Meaning:-

By the mount Tur (where Moses was given the Torah),

and by the Book written

on a fine unfolded scroll,
52:4
And the House (Kaaba) that is visited,
52:5
And by the roof (sky) raised high (i.e. the heaven).

And by the sea kept filled (or it will be fire kindled on the Day of Resurrection).
52:7
Indeed, the punishment of your Lord will occur.
52:8
There shall be none to avert it.
Meaning:-
Avert: to turn away or aside.
52:9
On the Day when the heaven will shake with a dreadful shaking,
52:10
and the mountain will travel around.
52:11
So woe on that day to those who reject (the truth),
Meaning:-
Woe: great sorrow or distress.
52:12
Who are playing in falsehood.
52:13
The Day they are thrust toward the fire of Hell with a [violent] thrust, [its angels will say],
52:14
“This is the Fire which you used to deny.
52:15
Then is this magic, or do you not see?
52:16
Now burn therein; it will be the same for you, whether you bear it patiently or do not bear it patiently. You are being rewarded according to your deeds.”
52:17
Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and bliss
Meaning:-
Bliss: perfect happiness; great joy.
52:18
Enjoying what their Lord has given them, and their Lord protected them from the punishment of Hellfire.
52:19
It will be said to them: “Eat and drink to your hearts content, this is the reward for your good deeds.”
52:20
They will be reclining on thrones lined up, and We will marry them to fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes.
Meaning:-
Recline: lean or lie back in a relaxed position with the back supported.
52:21
We shall unite the true believers with those of their descendants who follow them in their faith, and shall not deny them the reward of their good deeds – everyone is responsible for his deeds
Meaning:-
Descendant: a person who is related to you and who lives after you, such as your child or grandchild
52:22
– and We shall provide them fruits, and such meats as they desire.
52:23
They will pass from hand to hand a cup of wine which shall cause no idle talk, nor sinful urge;
52:24
and there shall wait for them young boys, exclusively appointed for their service, who will be as handsome as treasured pearls.
52:25
They will converse with one another about their worldly life
Meaning:-
converse: talk, speak, chat, have a conversation
52:26
They will say, “Indeed, we were previously among our people fearful [of displeasing Allah ].
52:27
But Allah has been gracious to us and He has saved us from the punishment of the hot wind:
52:28
Indeed we used to pray only to Him. Surely He is the Beneficent, the Merciful.”
52:29
Therefore, O Prophet, keep up your mission of admonition. By the grace of your Lord you are neither a soothsayer nor a madman.

Admonition: warning, advice, or caution.
Soothsayer: fortune teller, a person supposed to be able to foresee the future.
52:30
Do they say: “He is but a poet! We are waiting for some misfortune to befall him.”
52:31
Say (O Muhammad to them): “Wait! I am with you, among the waiters!”
52:32
Do their minds command them this [i.e. to tell a lie against you (Muhammad)] or are they people exceeding the bounds (i.e. from Belief in Allah to disbelief).
52:33
Do they say: “This man (Muhammad) has invented this Qur’an himself?” Nay! They do not want to believe.
52:34
Let them produce a scripture (the Quran) like this, if what they say is true!
52:35
Were they created without a Creator? Or were they their own creators?
52:36
Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no firm Belief.
52:37
Do they possess the treasures of your Lord? Or is it they who control them?
52:38
Or have they a stairway [into the heaven] upon which they listen? Then let their listener produce a clear authority.
52:39
Or has He (Allah) only daughters and you have sons?
52:40
Do you ask them payment for your services, that they should fear to be overburdened by a debt?
52:41
Do they have the knowledge of the unseen? Can they write it down?
52:42
Or do they intend a plot (against you O Muhammad)? But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) are themselves in a plot!
Meaning:-
Monotheism: the doctrine or belief that there is only one God.
52:43
Do they have a god other than Allah? Exalted is Allah, far above those deities they associate with Him.
Meaning:-
Exalted: placed at a high or powerful level; held in high regard.
Deities: Fake Gods, God; Supreme Being, like a god or goddess.
52:44
They are such people that, even if they will see a part of heaven falling down, they would say: “It is but a mass of clouds.”
52:45
So leave them alone till they meet their Day, in which they will sink into a fainting (with horror).
52:46
The Day when their plotting shall not avail them at all nor will they be helped (i.e. they will receive their punishment in Hell).
52:47
And surely those who are unjust shall have a punishment besides that (in the world), but most of them do not know.
52:48
Therefore (O Muhammad), wait for the judgement of your Lord with patience, We are surely watching over you. Glorify your Lord with His praises when you wake up,
52:49
And in the night time, also glorify His Praises, and at the setting of the stars.
51:1
By (the winds) that scatter dust.
51:2
And those [clouds] carrying a load [of water]
51:3
And (the ships) that float with ease and gentleness;
51:4
then by those (angels) who distribute the big affair (rain);
51:5
surely, that which you are being promised is true;
51:6
and surely, the Day of Judgment shall come to pass.
51:7
By the sky full of orbits,
51:8
surely you contradict one another in what you say (about Muhammad and the Quran).
Meaning:-
Contradict:deny, dispute, controvert, oppose.
51:9
Deluded away from the Qur’an is he who is deluded.
Meaning:-
Delude: mislead, deceive, fool.
51:10
Destroyed are the falsifiers
Meaning:-
Falsifier: to make false or incorrect, to represent falsely:
51:11
Who are under a cover of heedlessness (think not about the gravity of the Hereafter),
Meaning:-
Heedlessness: careless; thoughtless; unmindful:
51:12
They ask: “when will the Day of Judgment be?”
51:13
It will be the Day when they will be punished in the fire,
51:14
[And will be told], “Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient.”
Meaning:-
Torment: suffering, torture, pain, severe physical or mental suffering.
51:15
Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and fountains.
51:16
joyfully receiving what their Lord shall give them; for they were before that (during their life on earth) righteous people,
Meaning:-
Righteous: (of a person or conduct) morally right or justifiable; virtuous, very good; excellent.
51:17
They used to sleep but little in the night time,
51:18
pray for forgiveness in the early morning,
51:19
and share their wealth with the needy who asked for it, and those who could not ask.
51:20
In the earth, there are signs for the firm believers,
51:21
And in your own souls (too); will you not then see?
51:22
In heaven is your sustenance and all that you are promised.
Meaning:-
Sustenance: food and drink regarded as a source of strength; nourishment.
51:23
Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth – just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking.
51:24
Has the story reached you, of the honoured guests [three angels; Jibrael (Gabriel) along with another two] of Ibrahim (Abraham)?
51:25
When they came in to him, and said, “Salam, (peace be upon you)!” He answered; “Salam, (peace be upon you ),” and said: “You are a people unknown to me,”
51:26
Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf
Meaning:-
Calf: a young bovine (bovine means: bull, ox or cow ) animal, especially a domestic cow or bull in its first year.
51:27
And placed it before them.. he said, “Will ye not eat?”
51:28
When he saw them not eating, he became afraid of them. They said: “Have no fear,” and they gave him good news of a son endowed with knowledge.
Meaning:-
Endow: to furnish, as with some talent.
51:29
And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, “[I am] a barren old woman!”
Meaning:-
Barren: a woman: not able to produce children.
51:30
They replied: “Thus has said your Lord: surely He is the Wise, the Knowledgeable.”
51:31
[Abraham] said, “Then what is your business [here], O messengers?”
51:32
They replied: “We have been sent to a guilty nation (people of Lot, who were homosexuals),
51:33
To send down upon them stones of clay,
51:34
Marked in the presence of your Lord for the transgressors.”
Meaning:-
Transgressors: a person who is actually breaking the law, offend; sin.
