In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

84:1

When the sky has split [open]

84:2

And listens and obeys its Lord, and it must do so;

84:3

When the earth will spread out

84:4

And has cast out all that was in it and became empty,

84:5

And listens and obeys its Lord, and it must do so;

84:6

O mankind! Verily, you are returning towards your Lord with your deeds and actions (good or bad), a sure returning, so you will meet (i.e. the results of your deeds which you did).

84:7

Then he who will be given his Book of deeds in his right hand,

84:8

He will be judged with an easy account

84:9

And return to his people in happiness.

84:10

But he who will be given his book of deeds from behind his back,

84:11

shall soon be calling for death,

84:12

And shall enter a blazing Fire, and made to taste its burning.
Meaning:-
Blazing: burn fiercely or brightly.

84:13

Indeed, he had [once] been among his people in happiness;

84:14

Indeed, he had thought he would never return [to Allah ].

84:15

Yet, surely his Lord was ever watching over his misdeeds.

84:16

I swear by the glow of sunset;
Meaning:-
Glow: give out steady light without flame.

84:17

And by the night and whatever it gathers in its darkness;

84:18

And [by] the moon when it becomes full

84:19

You shall certainly travel from stage to stage (in this life and in the Hereafter).

84:20

What is the matter with the people that they do not believe,

84:21

And, when the Qur’an is recited unto them, worship not (Allah)?

84:22

But on the contrary the Unbelievers reject (it).

84:23

and Allah knows what they are hiding in their hearts.

84:24

Therefore, announce to them a painful punishment,

84:25

except those who embrace the true faith and do good deeds; for them there will be a never ending reward.
