In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful.

52:1

By the mount Tur (where Moses was given the Torah),

52:2

and by the Book written

52:3

on a fine unfolded scroll,

52:4

And the House (Kaaba) that is visited,

52:5

And by the roof (sky) raised high (i.e. the heaven).

52:6

And by the sea kept filled (or it will be fire kindled on the Day of Resurrection).

52:7

Indeed, the punishment of your Lord will occur.

52:8

There shall be none to avert it.
Meaning:-
Avert: to turn away or aside.

52:9

On the Day when the heaven will shake with a dreadful shaking,

52:10

and the mountain will travel around.

So woe on that day to those who reject (the truth),

52:12

Who are playing in falsehood.

52:13

The Day they are thrust toward the fire of Hell with a [violent] thrust, [its angels will say],

52:14

“This is the Fire which you used to deny.

52:15

Then is this magic, or do you not see?

52:16

Now burn therein; it will be the same for you, whether you bear it patiently or do not bear it patiently. You are being rewarded according to your deeds.”

52:17

Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in gardens and bliss

52:22

– and We shall provide them fruits, and such meats as they desire.

52:23

They will pass from hand to hand a cup of wine which shall cause no idle talk, nor sinful urge;

52:24

and there shall wait for them young boys, exclusively appointed for their service, who will be as handsome as treasured pearls.

52:25

They will converse with one another about their worldly life
Meaning:-

52:26

They will say, “Indeed, we were previously among our people fearful [of displeasing Allah ].

But Allah has been gracious to us and He has saved us from the punishment of the hot wind:

52:28

Indeed we used to pray only to Him. Surely He is the Beneficent, the Merciful.”

52:29

Therefore, O Prophet, keep up your mission of admonition. By the grace of your Lord you are neither a soothsayer nor a madman.
Meaning:-
Admonition: warning, advice, or caution.
Soothsayer: fortune teller, a person supposed to be able to foresee the future.

52:30

Do they say: “He is but a poet! We are waiting for some misfortune to befall him.”

52:31

Say (O Muhammad to them): “Wait! I am with you, among the waiters!”

52:32

Do their minds command them this [i.e. to tell a lie against you (Muhammad)] or are they people exceeding the bounds (i.e. from Belief in Allah to disbelief).

52:33

Do they say: “This man (Muhammad) has invented this Qur’an himself?” Nay! They do not want to believe.

52:34

Let them produce a scripture (the Quran) like this, if what they say is true!

52:35

Were they created without a Creator? Or were they their own creators?

52:36

Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no firm Belief.

52:37

Do they possess the treasures of your Lord? Or is it they who control them?

52:38

Or have they a stairway [into the heaven] upon which they listen? Then let their listener produce a clear authority.

52:39

Or has He (Allah) only daughters and you have sons?

52:40

Do you ask them payment for your services, that they should fear to be overburdened by a debt?

52:41

Do they have the knowledge of the unseen? Can they write it down?

52:42

Or do they intend a plot (against you O Muhammad)? But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) are themselves in a plot!
Meaning:-

Deities: Fake Gods, God; Supreme Being, like a god or goddess.

52:44

They are such people that, even if they will see a part of heaven falling down, they would say: “It is but a mass of clouds.”

52:45

So leave them alone till they meet their Day, in which they will sink into a fainting (with horror).

52:46

The Day when their plotting shall not avail them at all nor will they be helped (i.e. they will receive their punishment in Hell).

52:47

And surely those who are unjust shall have a punishment besides that (in the world), but most of them do not know.

52:48

Therefore (O Muhammad), wait for the judgement of your Lord with patience, We are surely watching over you. Glorify your Lord with His praises when you wake up,

52:49

And in the night time, also glorify His Praises, and at the setting of the stars.
