Those on the heights will call out to some ˹tyrants in the Fire˺, who they will recognize by their appearance, saying, “Your large numbers and arrogance are of no use ˹today˺!
Meaning:-
Tyrants: a cruel and oppressive ruler, An extremely oppressive, unjust.
Arrogance: offensive display of superiority or self-importance, a sense of superiority, having or revealing an exaggerated sense of one’s own importance or abilities.
Your large numbers: the last lines of this verse are addressed to the Companions of the Fire, reminding them (as a bench of judges might speak to a prisoner) of the futility of their wealth and riches and arrogance in their earthly life.
