It is He who has created all kinds of plants, trellised and untrellised, the palm trees, the field crops with produce of different kinds, the olives and pomegranates, similar in kind yet different in taste. Eat of their fruit in their season and give away their Zakah on the harvest day. Do not be spendthrift, surely He does not love the spendthrifts.
Meaning:-
Trellised: a framework of this kind used as a support for growing vines or plants.
zakah (Arabic): Charity, a tax, comprising percentages of personal income of every kind, levied as almsgiving for the relief of the poor
Harvest: a poor harvest is when things didn’t grow as well as expected. And the time of year when crops are ripe and ready to be gathered.
Spendthrift: a person who spends money in an extravagant, irresponsible way.
